Abstract: | The aim of the project was to analyze the sources of emission of sulfur dioxide in my campus IISER Mohali using the Model 43i Thermo Scientific SO2 Analyzer. This instrument is specifically used for continuous and real time measurements of SO2. The analysis was carried out considering the simultaneous presence of tracers CO, M42 (Acetonitrile) and NOx. The tracers helped to eliminate certain sources and were useful in establishing concrete results. The results are obtained in terms of observed average of SO2 mixing ratios and identification of the sources. |
