Abstract: Indium-mediated Barbier type addition of various γ-substituted allyl halides to a wide range of amino indolinones (iminoisatins) as well as the synthesis of highly functionalized oxindoles bearing two contiguous stereocenters with high diastereoselectivity has been reported.
