dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we study the class field theory of p-adic number fields. We closely fol- low the treatment given in Jürgen Neukirch’s Class Field Theory. The Bonn lectures- Edited by Alexander Schmidt [Neu13b]. We also explicitly determine the universal norm residue symbol of p-adic number fields following Lubin and Tate’s approach. In this thesis, I have also attempted to clarify some of the proofs from [Neu13b]. | en_US |
